What's New

"BEST" PROGRAM A HIT WITH HIGH SCHOOLERS
Colusa Regional Medical Center ("CRMC") has partnered with 18 Colusa County public service agencies in a grant funded collaboration to offer high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to become familiar with career choices in healthcare. The "BEST" Program (“Blood, Sweat, Energy and Talent”), is a 20-hour orientation course designed to provide interested students with the opportunity to explore the many healthcare career opportunities. The orientation provides basic knowledge and introductory skills needed to explore healthcare career options through a menu of worksite based opportunities at school, in the community, and with CRMC. BEST classes are currently held at Colusa, Williams and Pierce High Schools, but may expand over time. About 40 students have enrolled.

Fourteen Williams High School students have graduated from the six-week program. For more on this significant accomplishment please click on the following link to the article in the Colusa Sun Herald Newspaper. http://www.colusa-sun-herald.com/news/career-2920-students-field.html
